The person bringing you the CPU and the code is me.

The person bringing you the bandwidth is Steven Herod.

Yes, there will be an RSS feed. It'll be a virtual copy of the
official posse episode feed, which definitely works for iTunes (you
can sign up to podcasts that aren't in the iTMS by using Advanced,
Subscribe to podcast...'). If there's an issue with another player,
let me know and I can look into it. Or, better yet, download the atom/
rss yourself, fiddle with it until it works, and mail me that. Kinda
hard to debug without the device/software in question otherwise :P

Software-wise, it's all done - this is how it works, for your
perspective:

In iTunes, or any other podcast manager, you use 'advanced, subscribe
to podcast...' and put in a URL I'll be handing out next week or so.

That podcast is a virtual copy of the real podcast. It has the same
description, almost the same name ('TEMPO' is suffixed), and the same
podcasts, starting at #228 most likely. The mp3s that get released by
it are also virtual copies; they have the exact same ID3v2 tags, so
same image, same notes, same everything. It's just 83.3% as long. This
feed will be delayed about ~2.5 hours (high quality re-tempo takes a
while, and ADSL upload of ~50MB takes about half an hour on top of
that!)

The only holdup is my ISP (my home server does the recoding and then
uploads it to Steven Herod's server for hosting). They've gone
bankrupt. A new ADSL provider has been arranged for, but they need to
do the usual swap-some-wires song and dance and I have no idea how
long it'll take. Once that's up, tempo posse will be released.

If people like the service, and if Steven can handle the bandwidth, I
may add the ability to mail a list of chapter markers to a preset mail
address which then get integrated right into the mp3, but no promises.
