You are talking about bringing Linux support... I hope I'll get full Windows support - for me, and not only me, media playback doesn't work. If you have similar problems please review bugs http://javafx-jira.kenai.com/browse/RT-2690 and http://javafx-jira.kenai.com/browse/RT-2749 and consider voting.
