I have a Kindle 2 and one of my colleagues brought in a DX the other day. If you're familiar with the Kindle 2, then you'll have a good idea of the DX. If you read a lot of PDFs, consider it since it renders them natively and therefore handles the images a whole lot better than the Kindle 2 conversion. You can also view the pages in landscape in order to get bigger text. I can't remember if it had an accelerometer to make the change. It is obviously larger and heavier than the Kindle 2. If that's not a concern, then I'd definitely recommend it. I'm sticking with my Kindle 2 because I can actually take my Kindle backpacking since it is the same size as a paperback and lighter than the larger ones. The smaller size of the Kindle 2 also makes it more portable for travel and commuting. But I sure wish I had the PDF rendering of the DX. --~--~---------~--~----~------------~-------~--~----~ You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "The Java Posse" group.
