Context: In "Thoughts on Flash", Jobs does not say it "couldn't be done", he says it *has* not been done: "In addition, Flash has not performed well on mobile devices. We have routinely asked Adobe to show us Flash performing well on a mobile device, any mobile device, for a few years now. We have never seen it. Adobe publicly said that Flash would ship on a smartphone in early 2009, then the second half of 2009, then the first half of 2010, and now they say the second half of 2010."
What we see in these videos is pre-release software. It may well work excellently when it reaches release quality. However, to ship with the original iPhone, Adobe would have had to have Mobile Flash working this well back in late 2006, in order to make the iPhone's January 2007 announcement and June 2007 release. At best, this demo is about four years too late. --Chris On May 12, 12:01 am, Matthew Kerle <[email protected]> wrote: > http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0y7XJI4NN7k > > <http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=0y7XJI4NN7k>repost from reddit /r/android -- You received this message because you are subscribed to the Google Groups "The Java Posse" group.
