You must develop for iDevices using the official SDK
... which is only (officially) available for OSX
... which only (officially) runs on apple hardware

They could allow OSX to effectively stagnate, just release the occasional
hardware upgrade which is needed for the occasional OS upgrade, which is
needed for the latest SDK, which is needed to write apps that will run on
the latest iOS.

Also make sure that OSX can also run iOS apps from the app store, to ensure
that it can still be marketed as multi-function.

Then force-upgrade all iOS users on a regular basis (make sure devices
automatically stop working if not upgraded in a certain time-span, advertise
this feature as being for "security" reasons)

Sounds like a business plan?
