Hi,

one of the assumptions of the OP was that Java developers are an
important market for Apple and their products.

How would this be measured? I mean how does Apple actually know? A lot
of design companies purchase Macs and don;t do Java dev.

I don't remember telling Apple when I bought my macbook that I would
be using it for Java development.
