In line with what is mentioned here..Could we find out exactly which are the OS(s) that developers like to work on and most importantly WHY?
Also, further to what Fabrizio Giudici said, most of the work in firms is on Windows and Linux/Unix..I don't doubt Mac, but I would surely like to work on Windows/Linux more than on Mac... Lastly:- 1) http://www.macwindows.com/leopard.html 2) http://www.linuxplanet.com/linuxplanet/reports/7052/1/ 3) http://www.infoworld.com/t/malware/macs-under-attack-high-risk-spyware-698 4) http://www.silicon.com/technology/security/2006/03/03/minority-report-mac-os-x-virus-scares-39156946/ 5) http://www.ft.com/cms/s/2/d2f3f04e-6ccf-11df-91c8-00144feab49a.html To be very honest, one advantage for Mac is the security. Windows is very prone to attacks. Notice that the author says that Apple is turning its attention to building phones and that maybe affecting its OS business too..Is it running away from Microsoft? I dont know.. These are relevant to our discussion I hope..
