Of course there is. There are bugs in all pieces of software*, but Microsoft's dilemma was that while we were moving into an always- connected world they still had to support legacy software... so this "hardening" has been tough. I have the opposite problem from you, not knowing much about OSX (no Apple specific hardware) but it would be odd if its more modern BeOS core wouldn't raise OSX over Windows in a 1:1 security shootout. Then again, these differences are probably neglectable if you were to normalize with marked numbers. To put it another way, why do you find more pigeons* at St. Marcus Square than other places in Venice?
