Thinkpads. Great keyboard, screen (FHD is the latest gimmick name for highest resolution), trackpoint (ftw), and thinkwiki.org is a great resource. I've bought 3 generations of T series, though the new W series is where the quad core CPUs are, if you're so inclined. Per Reinier's bullet point list later in the thread, yeah, hibernate/suspect is wonky. Both Windows and Linux have always given me trouble with that, no idea why Mac is the only one that seems to do it right.
