I think I was really just annoyed at the plugging he did in the thread about the projected Java features (imagine a similar post but admitting which other languages have something already and the backlash that would have provoked). I'll get over it sooner or later. Hopefully sooner. And again, I think it is fair to invoke other solutions to problems. I did exactly that in this very thread. I didn't jump straight to "you shouldn't be doing this yourself, you should use another language," though.
