Maybe because people who have participated and influenced the language the
most these past years happen to work at Google?

What's wrong with that?

As discussed previously, this "one man" stopped caring and participating in
Java more than ten years ago, I'm glad that that people who influenced the
language continued to care and work on Java even after they left Sun. They
deserve our thanks and recognition.
