I would humbly suggest that you specialise in something that not a lot of 
people know about and will be even more imporrtant as web apps become more 
function rich. Ultimately this gives you the advantage of being a valuable 
commodity. There will always be many developers who have the advantage of 
experience in long established f/w and techs like Hibernate, Spring, EJBs( 
maybe who cares about this one). However many ppl out there dont really know 
GWT past the basics, which means catching up its a far easier task. 
Surpassing them is also a much more achievable goal given lots of people are 
still figuring out where to get started and how best to do stuff ( eg 
patterns) w/ GWT.
