I did not say nothing works better, I said Java works reasonably well enough. 
There is no reasoning here to suggest that language development should come to 
a standstill because Java works reasonably well enough. Many languages exist 
for many different reasons. JavaFX was initially built for a reason and one 
that I happen to agree with. The reality of the situation is... the project was 
under funded and under resourced. Oracle had sense enough to recognize this and 
it decided that the language that developers may or may not accept was 
worthless without a functioning core. So, axe the language and focus on the 
core. It's an easy decision. If a DSL for FX is to evolve, my guess is that it 
will come from Groovy.

And, lets not confuse the language with the platform.
