Would two things like Lombok work
together in the same source file without problems?

Forgot to answer this. Probably not, but it's just a matter of standarts (de facto). I mean, Lombok exists as a base project, while many people have created their own annotation processors based on Lombok (e.g. Lomprop, etc...). They share some basic Lombok function in order to work. Of course, people not using Lombok but their own stuff could experience problem. It can be solved with the community adopting Lombok as a de-facto standard for plugging in their stuff. I'd have loved to see Sun/Oracle to work on a better standardisation for annotation processors.
