There's a bit more than just video intercept stuff involved, certainly when
it came to making JAWS compatible with IE7 (to which office 2007 apparently
bears resemblances).

Lisa; try downloading the very latest version of JAWS as a demo and install
it, you can obviously try that to see how it works but then if you go back
to running the old version of JAWS it should have updated stuff like the
video intercept sufficiently to do the job.

  Hi Lisa,

Sounds like you have a couple of problems.
First off, support for Microsoft office 2007 starts with version 8 I
believe, so I do think your version is too old.
Secondly, these they have changed the entire layout for office 2007. It
think now they call them ribbons instead of tool bars or some such thing.
Someone else on here may be able to give you some extra tips, but I think
you'll need to upgrade your jfw to get maximum use out of your new
programme.

  Kerry

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Jaws and Microsoft Word 2007

  Hello everyone,
When I write letters I have always used the HJ pad, and I found it quite
easy to use. I recently purchased and installed Microsoft office student
and home adition 2007 on my computer. This includes Microsoft word which I
always wanted to have because I thought it would be better then the HJ pad.
I opened up a blank document in Word to write a letter, and I hit my alt
key, so I could have a look at the menues. All it said was home tab press
control tab to switch pages. I have never used Word 2003 with jaws, but a
friend told me that the menues are totally accessible with jaws. I am
running jaws 6, so I'm wondering if my version of jaws is too old for this
newest version of Microsoft Word, or has Microsoft totally changed the way
Word 2007 looks? When I rooted jaws to PC I didn't find things like file,
edit, view, tools, and format. If anyone could help figure this out i'd
really appreciate it!!! I have windows XP home adition, and I'm running
jaws 6.
  Take care,
  Lisa ,
