Hi Estelita, If you are having the machine built for you,the shop should be able to install XP,since it is still abailable. Most manufacturers are shipping their systems with Vista, but XP can still be had. If you do get XP installed, make sure they give you the original operating system disk, because you will be paying for it. Keep in mind, that if you do get XP, make sure it is a version that your version of Jaws will support. If you get XP Professional, or Media Center Edition, you will need Jaws Pro. This is the reason I'm querying first, because I'd like to get the latest version of JAWS then purchase a new laptop, and PCs now a days are Win Vista installed already. Unless if the shop will agree to change the OS of my choice, I don't know.
