Hi Tom, I can't speak directly to the laptop question, since I don't have one but, what I've experienced, Jaws seems to perform much better with a video card, as opposed to on-board video. In the past I've had issues with inadequate onboard sound cards in my desktop. Is that a problem with laptops where sound cards are always onboard, or are current laptops able to handle what JAWS throws at it? Is there anything specific I should look for in a lap top?
