Hi,
I forgot to mention that both messages have files attached to them that are
both less that 1 MB (megabyte) in size. The first one from your description
is 8.77 KB (kilobytes) and the other one is 314 KB (kilobytes). Since you
said that one of the attachments in one of your messages is an attachment of
a forwarded message, someone has just saved a copy of the original message
on there computer and attached it to the message you received before it was
sent to you. There is no need to adjust OE (Outlook Express) to show file
extensions (also known as file types) because it does it in the attachments
list by default.
HTH,
Jeffrey
