Margaret, I have been going through a similar adventure with my computer so you are not alone. At Flore's suggestion, since my tech installed I E 7 against my wishes, I installed jaws 7.1 which has certainly made this beast run a lot better. Try it as you can always go back to jaws 7. I have been kicking the jaws 8 around my desk since last summer, fearing that installing it would screw up what had been, this year, fairly smooth sailing. Now I am tempted to just do it and see what happens since i can't retreat from I E 7 anyway. And now we hear that Jaws 9 will be coming soon. Yeech. marilyn
