Well Siobhan, I haven't upgraded to Jaws 7.1 yet. I really haven't had a lot of trouble with 7.0 except for that apparent lock-up which seems to need re-booting.
Like some others, I am struggling with the decision to upgrade to version 8. I didn't buy the last set of SMAs personally because the I T boys at work were supposed to be doing that and apparently didn't. I don't much care about alternate voices and until I need Vista, I suppose that will eventually be unavoidable, there doesn't seem to be much point in buying a full new version. As I approach retirement maybe I'll pressure them into buying a new version and I'll again begin buying the SMA or when/if we go over to Vista. I expect I will roll back IE 7 to 6 if it poses a problem.
