Hello. You need to show hidden files and folders to see all of the folders and
files in the username folder. You need to go to
tools/folder options and go to the next tab over and shift tab to the tree and
hit s for show hidden files and folders and hit
space to turn that on.

: Hi Joseph,
:
: I got the files for the scrip in the right place using your
: instructions. I haven't tried the application yet to see if they
: "took"
: since I should be fresh to tackle it.
:
: As far as your instructions for JAWS and XP, WMP 11 is the only
: player
: installed on the machine. I'm not sure I'm finding the option to
: change
: file types and what to do with if I'm in the right place. I did find
: something about file types under the tools and options. The only
: thing I've
: done with WMP 11 is to burn a couple of CD's and that was before the
: new
: hard drive was installed and it might need to be configured to work
: best
: with JAWS. I did find an item in the menus for classic menus and
: things are
: now slightly more familiar, but I really have no idea what I'm doing
: in the
: program and things are messed up enough now, so any detailed
: instructions
: would really be appreciated to avoid fouling things up even more.
:
: Thanks,
:

: Hi Margaret,
: 1. Script installation:
: a. Find the script files (everything) then copy it to clipboard
: (CTRL plus c).
: b. Go to Start Menu/Programs/JAWS 7.1/Explore/Explore My
: Settings. You should land at the location where JAWS has script
: files.
: c. Press CTRL plus v to paste the script files.
: You should restart JAWS before the scripts can take effect.
: 2. XP Home and JAWS: the information presented here is accurate.
: Follow it and you should use JAWS efficiently.
: 3. File association: this problem is caused by what's called
: "file association" issue i.e. to associate a file type with a
: program. Go to the program which the wave sound (wav) was
: registered as file type (possibly Winamp). Go to the location
: where you can see settings for that media player and you should
: see an option to change file types. Check to see if wav is
: checked. Or you might want to reinstall this media player and it
: should work from there.
: Cheers,
: Joseph
