In the Jaws configuration insert 6, under user options, there is a check box 
that needs checked. It is right above the ok.
When you press insert key down then you can press another key without having 
both press at the same time.
Like pressing insert+ctrl+s to change the different voices. all you have to 
press is ctrl s.
