Steve, Thank you so much for this small but very powerful piece of information. You have solved many of my frustrations with formatting documents in MS-Word. I have always complained how MS-Word is so much more restrictive then WordPerfect had been, but now I know the secret to accomplishing multiple types of formatting with in the same document.
Thanks!!!! Debbie, This is exactly what section breaks are for. If you put a next page section break in a document instead of a hard page break, you will find you can create headers and footers for each section. To insert a section break go to the Insert menu and choose Break, and on the dialogue that appears, choose Next page. In Word 2007 the keystrokes Alt, I, B still get the Break dialogue. Hi: I know how to create a header, but I want a different header after entering a hard page break. For example the beginning of the document would have todays date on every printed page. Next if I then hit ctrl+enter, and wanted tomorrows date on the next header, wouldn't the same header end up on the page? How can I get the new pages in the document to reflect tomorrow's date? Sorry if this is unclear! Thanks for the help, Deb.
