  As far as I know, the only thing you can do to fix that is to upgrade.  I
  remember that problem and could find no way to fix it either, and I have
  years of experience as an advanced JAWS user.

  I haven't yet exercised my options to upgrade to JAWS 8 or 9 and am still
  using the software mentioned in the subject line.  However, for a few days
  now I find that whenever I type very fast or use some of the controls Jaws
  simply stops talking and even if I use the shortcut key to bring it back I
  get no speech.  The only way to reinstate Jaws is to restart the computer.

  Does anybody else on this list have a similar problem and what is the
  solution?
