But it doesn't work in JAWS 8 or 9 either.

Ok, first, about the dialog--I think there's a checkbox, like any other
Windows dialog, that allows you to take care of that dialog.  Sometimes
you have to alt tab around b/c it doesn't actually focus on it, so you
have to bring it into focus.  Secondly, the typing sound/announcement
feature has always been an issue in JAWS 7.  they fixed it in 7.1, I
think.  Anyway, just know that there really isn't anything you can do
about that--it was a complaint back when 7 was the latest thing.
