Just today after a message from Webroot came up for me to get rid of a
threat, JAWS would say it needed to be authorized.

Now I have gone through the steps several times and more with what I am
about to write plus if I would update the authorization JAWS would not allow
me to move around the screen but only remain on the Desktop each and every
time and would not allow me to read the dialog screens so I had to have
sighted help.

No matter how many times clicking on OK and updating authorization, either
it would not go through and if it did, the same authorization screen would
come up. Some times it would say the authorization would fail and other
times it would go through just fine. I used the internet option and my
authorization code was in each time so that wasn't the problem.

I turned off the computer and I also tried resetting it many times but the
same messages would come up. If I uninstalled JAWS 18 and reset the computer
and used a different version the same message would come up.

The only thing I can do that seems to work is not turn JAWS off and not turn
the computer off and not reset the computer. I can turn JAWS 18 off and then
turn an earlier version on of JAWS on but I can't turn JAWS 18 off and then
reset the computer to use an earlier version or even have JAWS 18
uninstalled and then reset the computer to use an earlier version.

I'd like to have this resolved as soon as I can. I'd like to turn off the
computer when not in use but if I do that even if JAWS 18 is uninstalled the
same message will come up like I have said. I'm not sure why I can turn off
version 18 and then go to an earlier version and then things will be fine.

Any suggestions? I will call and get help if need be but I'd like to see if
others had similar problems.

Thank you,

Melissa
