Hello everyone,
I am a new Jaws user coming from Window-Eyes. I am having a problem and do not know if it is user error or not. Smile. I am using Windows 10, Outlook 2016 and Jaws home 18.2740. When in Outlook, I am arrowing through the list of e-mail in my inbox. I have the columns organized to speak, from left to right, the sender, message body, then the subject. I used Outlook to reorganize the columns. Window-Eyes would speak the correct columns in the order I have them. When I am using Jaws, it will not speak the message body column at all. I went to the "run jaws manager" dialog by pressing Jaws + F2 and chose the "customize outlook message list" option. I was in the speech tab. I then moved the message item to put it in the same order I had it in outlook and had it set to speak column. Jaws does not see the message column at all. Thus, it is not reading it. Am I missing something? Is there something else I need to do so I can read a message preview?Smile. Thank you for any help. Best Regards.
