Going into the BIOS is not something any of us can do without sited help unfortunately.

Thanks Mike, I think that this is my last HP machine.  I have too many
issues with them.  I am nervous about going into that bios.  I am not an

I did a few Internet searches, & it seems that for your HP laptop, as well
as many other HP laptops it requires going into the bios to reverse the FN
key useage.  Check out the link below:

Exactly correct on that
I played around as to what I could have hit accidently and function key
escape fixed it, it toggles between lock and unlock.

That is the brand of lap top I have.. so you hit it right on the button
everywhere..

It sounds like you're using a laptop, but unless you tell these good folks
the make & model it'll be a guessing game.  If it's a lenovo, try, FN key +
Escape.

I some how switched the function key to always on, how did I do this so I
can turn the function key back to off until I need it?

I ma running windows 8 and jaws 18.
