well, tried that and still no go! I believe the
problem is with firefox now since when i try to
make firefox the default browser it doesn't make
the change even though i execute the alt+shift+d
or press enter on the button to do so. very strange problem. thanks.

the option to check if Internet Explorer is the
default browser. Then set Firefox as the default
