Go to Internet Options (for example from the Tools menu witting an IE window or by using the Control Panel) and, in the Programs tab, uncheck the option to check if Internet Explorer is the default browser. Then set Firefox as the default browser and you should have no more issues with this, unless you're not logged in as an administrator when trying to set Firefox as the default browser.
