I did. No luck.

Hi Adrian,

You might need to tab to find the radio buttons to slect either the current
document, or all documents.
Take care. Mike. Go Dodgers!

Mike, you anticipated the query I just posted. Our messages crossed. I've gone
through David's steps again and this time pressed the applications key.
After setting page numbers the way I want, I pressed F12 for "Save as."
Unlike before, the filename is what I want, normal.dotm. However, I'm not
getting the "All" option. When I press control-s for a simple save, nothing is
verbalized.

Hi Adrian,

To find the Normal.dotm, find it as David suggested, but to edit the
Normal.dotm don't just open it, use the context menu. With the, Normal.dotm,
highlighted press the application key or, Shift + F10, to open the context
menu, arrow down to, Open, & press enter. Now you can edit the Normal.dotm &
save the changes to either just the document you're working with, or All
Documents.
Take care. Mike. Go Dodgers!

Subject: [JAWS-Users] How to open Word 2010's normal.dotm file?

Hi. Most settings that I want to be my default in Word 2010 can be set in
specific dialogs. For example, I can set a default font through the font
dialog. However, it doesn't seem possible with page numbering. So I've been
trying to locate and open the default.dotm file. One online instruction says to
open Office 2010, then click on templates, but I can't even locate Office
2010 as a separate item. When I click on Word 2010 in my programs list, it
opens a new document rather than giving me the template option.

Can someone get me past this seemingly basic hurdle? Thanks.
