Hi,

You can use the Laptop keyboard layout which has capslock as the JAWS Key
by default, or change the setting of the Desktop layout to use capslock
instead of insert.
Keystroke disposition in Laptop layout is easier to handle with no need to
move hands and is especially useful when you haven't numeric keypad, a so
common case in laptops where the numpad is emulated by using function keys.
However, since the laptop layout has duplicate commands and for some less
frequent commands it uses the INSERT KEY (for example, the left mouse click
is simulated with CAPSLOCK+8, but the Keyboard Manager is launched with
INSERT+8), you have to read the help to learn some additional commands
compared to the Desktop layout.
By the way, if you are a new user, I would recommend you to change the JAWS
Key of the Desktop layout instead to switching to the Laptop one. To do
this, open Settings Center with INSERT+6, press CTRL+SHIFT+D to open the
Default file, tab to the tree view and, in the Keyboard branch, fin and
change the option of the JAWS key.
If you can't press INSERT+6 to open Settings Center, go to the JAWS window
with ALT+TAB, press ALT+U for the Utilities menu and E for Settings Center;
if you configured JAWS to run from system tray instead of as a window,
press WINDOWS+B to go to the system tray, fin the JAWS for Windows icon and
press APPLICATIONS key to open the context menu.

Hope it helps!
