No. I'm used to using the insert key and don't actually remember most of the caps-lock keystrokes. It's designed for laptop users but can be used easily on a desktop keyboard instead if that's what you want. In fact, Freedom Scientific used to suggest simply trying both ways and seeing which you prefer.
