Only solution I've found is to have JAWS speaking through a hardware synth 
via a USB port or RS-232 port so that it is a completely separate audio 
channel, then mute the computer sound while navigating with JAWS.

I have this problem too. I do so, hope that someone on this list will have a
suggestion, which works to stop this file from playing, so I can read the
information in the website I wanted to see.

I'll try again. I am using IE as a web browser. I need to stop music from
playing on the webpage when it opens. Moving away from the page and
returning to it does not help. Is there another way?
