Type Windows+r, and in the Run dialog, enter sndvol
To invoke the volume mixer. Use tab to navigate through the dialog to the
split button that shows the name of your current sound device. Pressing
Alt+Down-Arrow gives me a context menu showing the different audio devices
(in my case, system speakers and USB head set) available on the system.
Select the device you wish to change, then adjust the volume slider or other
controls as desired.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] HeadPhone Jack and Sound Levels

Afternoon all.

I was wondering about something. When I have my laptop speakers operating, I
have the sound level at a comfortable level for me. However, when I plug in
my headphones, it ir REALLY loud. I know that the sndvol command brings up
the sound mixer. Can anyone tell me the way to adjust the headphone jack
sound level without adjusting the speaker output; or is it not possible. I
am running JAWS 17, and Windows 10 on a Dell laptop. Thanks in advance.

Jerry
