In my town there is a Micro Center store and they do recovery work.  It might 
be worthwhile looking at other sources for your recovery.

It is an external drive that spins up. From the thread It most likely has a 
corrupted partition table.
They still charge the 600 even if all they do is run the data recovery 
software. This is what i am talking about But anyway sorry about you losing all 
your files. That sucks....
