Morning, I have been using Abby Finereader 11 for longer than I can remember. It, 11, is no longer sold, and I was just looking as I am thinking to upgrade to version 14. The software is wonderful at converting PDF to Word and other file formats like Word and Excel. The interface of 11 is very accessible. One little feature I like is that Finereader places an item in the context menu letting you select what the software should do with a file. Example, if the file is Called JAW.PDF, right clicking the file or using the context key will show a Finereader choice and then a submenu of file formats you can choose from. The engine is very accurate even when the file is an image. I just want to be clear that I have been using version 11 an not 14. There may be a trial version out there to be sure the program is still as screen reader friendly as 11. Hello all, I am using Windows 8.1-64 and Jaws 16. Some time ago, there was a discussion on PDF converters. Someone recommended a very good payed one, but I don’t remember wich it was. I need something that will keep formating, font type, etc. The Jaws OCR is a good solusion for when you just need to read something, but not to work on it. For example, I might be getting a translation job and the documents I have to translate has pages in text imige, like tables. So, please, if someone could recommend me a good conversion software I would apreciate it very much. Thank you in advance.
