Hi,
Ah, I think this is the first real-life example of secondary protection. In
other words, when a third-party antivirus program is installed and is
protecting your computer, Windows Defender will be turned off. Once the
subscription expires, Windows Defender will kick in until you renew your
third-party antivirus subscription. And yes, Windows Defender is free and is
a built-in antivirus program for Windows (starting from Windows 8.x).
Cheers,
Joseph

I don't know; I really don't. I was confused for the last few weeks also, so
I haven't do it. It says windows defender is protecting you pc, then it has
a renew button. When you hit the button, is says macaffee, then it wants
you to put your card numb erin. I haven't do it.

Uhm, Windows Defender is free, what do you mean it wants you to renew and
purchase MacAfee?

So, windows defender is asking me to renew and wants me to pay for macafee.
Can anyone recommend an accessible anti virus spyware malware/protection?
Also, does windows 10 come with one naturally without having to renew?
Free is better, but this one which is asking me to renew is $59. So, is
there one cheaper?
Justin
