Hi Mauricio, Thanks for the info. I am running Windows 7. This is my work computer so I can't upgrade. I wonder if this may have any bearing on my issues.
I am running JAWS 18, not 2018. I am running ZoomText 11.7 as this is what was in the download of Fusion I installed last weekend. I am running Windows 10 and all appears to be working as it should... mostly. Here is how I have my ZoomText Fusion configured: Only JAWS starts when I start my computer. When I want the magnification portion of Fusion to be launched, I press Control+Alt+Shift+Z. I have both JAWS and ZoomText run from the system tray and the ZoomText window starts minimized. Because for now the individual components of ZoomText are updated independently, I am running JAWS 2018 and Fusion 11.7. In fact, if you have not updated to version 11.7 of Fusion, this may help. The reason I say that all is "mostly" working as it should is because I have found that I can not use the screen feature of JAWS 2018 if magnification is enabled, and of course this makes perfect sense. I hope some of my configuration info was of at least some help. I also mostly use JAWS, but do have a very small amount of vision and sometimes need to use ZoomText magnified at a very high level. I installed Fusion last weekend, and for a day or so, it seemed to work ok except that ZoomText didn't appear to be tracking as I was typing text, which I thought Fusion was supposed to do well. Then JAWS started saying something different from the keys I would press, such as control-alt-tab when I pressed alt-tab. Also, it would double speak the letters I was typing, i.e. saying "A A" when I typed an "A". For now I am running the components of Fusion, JAWS 18 and ZoomText 11, together, but as the separate programs, not the Fusion program. If I try to run fusion, not only do I have the keyboard issues I described, but it becomes so slow as to be unusable. My understanding was that Fusion was a combination of JAWS 18 and Zoomtext 11, so I don't understand why running the two individual programs together works, but if I run Fusion, it is not working correctly. I rarely use the magnification portion and use the JAWS part of Fusion almost exclusively. I made the switch to learn what, if any, the benefits would be compared to JAWS and MAGic. As far as I can tell, the JAWS component of Fusion is simply JAWS, so I would like to ask what part of Fusion you might require assistance with. Of course, I am by no means an expert with the magnification component of Fusion, but it is worth the asking.
