Thanks, Mike. This release fixed the problem I was having reading email
messages in Outlook 2010, so it did more than advertised.

Subject: [JAWS-Users] Unofficial J2018 update, Build, 1712.54, Direct Download
Links + What's New

Hi All,

I learned about this update from another list, & it's all explained below.

Reading issues have been reported when using JAWS 2018.1712.10 (released in
December 2017) with Windows 10 Universal apps. Here are some examples:

list of 2 items
1. In Windows Mail, JAWS 2018 will not speak the body of an email while
navigating by character or word. And JAWS may read a previously opened email
instead of the current one.
2. In Sticky Notes, JAWS 2018 repeats the character in focus and will not speak
the text while navigating by character or word.

Solution

These problems have been fixed and will be included in the next JAWS 2018
update. But if you need these fixes before the public release, you have 2
options for receiving a pre-release update as follows:

A. Download the full version update from the appropriate link below. It is OK
to install over the existing version, or it can be done as a new install by
itself.
