We all want to know . . . Who's Melanie and what's this about a "crop walk"?

I am sorry. I have no clue how this message ended up on this thread. It was
not suppose to do that, obviously.

Hi Melanie,
Sure. Unfortunately, my braille printer is not functioning at this time,
but I can certainly take notes and present whatever. And if you want to talk
about it and make whatever special emphasis points you want to, that would
be great. It looks a lot like last years it seems to me. Not a lot of
change, except for our not being entirely sure about housing initiative
stuff, and the lack of a crop walk. That was a surprise. If you would like
to talk, what time works well for you?

I'm running outlook 2013 and sometime my email either won't accept my

and
will the new update fix that? Also, I have the home use edition, the low
priced one. Is there a limit to how many jws updates you can get? They
just
released this early Nov and I'm surprised thy have a new update already.
Thanks for the info.

Thanks, Mike. This release fixed the problem I was having reading email
messages in Outlook 2010, so it did more than advertised.

Hi All,
I learned about this update from another list, & it's all explained
below.
Reading issues have been reported when using JAWS 2018.1712.10 (released
in
December 2017) with Windows 10 Universal apps. Here are some examples:
list of 2 items
1. In Windows Mail, JAWS 2018 will not speak the body of an email while
navigating by character or word. And JAWS may read a previously opened
email instead of the current one.
2. In Sticky Notes, JAWS 2018 repeats the character in focus and will not
speak the text while navigating by character or word.

Solution
These problems have been fixed and will be included in the next JAWS 2018
update. But if you need these fixes before the public release, you have
2
options for receiving a pre-release update as follows:

A. Download the full version update from the appropriate link below. It
is
OK to install over the existing version, or it can be done as a new
install
by itself.
