I truly hope someone on the list can answer this one. Recently, Bid Locker was installed on a new computer my employer provided me for telework and it has given me the absolute blues! When I turn on the computer, JAWS does not speak. So how am I supposed to know when to attempt to log-in? I had the Help Desk call Freedom Scientific to get instructions on starting JAWS at Start Up. However, that does not work. Plus, with laptops being much quieter now, I cannot even determine if the thing is on! Any suggestions or comments? Right now, I make sure I am aided by my roommate prior to him leaving for work, but, if I allow the computer to go into sleep mode, I am lost and the balance of my work day is compromised.
