Hello Matthew, You have to make a keyboard shortcut, since JAWS lets you have multiple versions of the program, rather than installing over the previous version as Window-Eyes did. I use control-alt-j for the current version and control-alt-z for the older one. Just my choice. To make a shortcut, do it the way you would for any other program. Find the program shortcut on your desktop and press the context menu key. Arrow up to properties and press enter. Tab until you hear shortcut key hotkey. Press j, or whatever letter you want to use. The control-alt goes in automatically. Tab to ok. And follow the prompts. This will have to be done with every JAWS update. HTH. Rebecca

I'm one of those former Window-Eyes users who went kicking and screaming over to JAWS. All that said, I only just yesterday started using JAWS for the first time. Anyway, my question is: Is there a keyboard shortcut for restarting JAWS if it and some other software don't play nice together? I'm asking because I'm an amateur radio operator (ham) and use an interface with a radio that when plugged into my PC, takes all the sound away, including JAWS. At that point, I need to restart JAWS, but see no keyboard shortcut to do this. Thoughts? Thanks in advance.--Matthew Chao For answers to frequently asked questions about this list visit: http://www.jaws-users.com/help/ For answers to frequently asked questions about this list visit: http://www.jaws-users.com/help/
