Hi Steven,

I don't run Outlook, but take a look & see if you have this setting.  While in 
Outlook press, Jaws key + V, to open Outlook's quick settings.  Arrow down to 
General Maill Settings, & under this heading see if you have, Messages 
automatically read, checked.  If this is checked, uncheck it with the spacebar, 
tab to, Okay, & press enter to save your change & close quick settings.  
Hopefully this will do what you're wanting.

When I open a message in Microsoft Outlook 2016, JAWS seems to want to read it 
automatically and I like to read it line by line with the cursor keys starting 
from the top.
Is there a JAWS setting so that when I open an email, it just leaves the cursor 
at the top line of the message ready for me to read?
