Hi Adrian, I'm sorry, but I failed to mention that I run the portable version of Firefox ESR 52.8, and this doesn't appear in Start menu/ All Programs. There's a way of creating a desktop shortcut with the version I'm running, but it requires creating a new shortcut through the context menu with nothing selected on the desktop. I'm definitely going to save these steps in case I have to install Firefox to get the desired workability ----- Original Message ----- From: Adrian Spratt To: jaws-users-list@jaws-users.com Sent: Tuesday, May 15, 2018 8:31 PM Subject: Re: [JAWS-Users] Desktop Shortcuts With Firefox
Hi, Mike. I also have Windows 7. This should work. Press the Windows key and arrow up once to "all Programs." Press enter, then when a list appears press the up arrow key once. Then press f until Firefox appears. On hearing Firefox verbalized, press the applications key. Arrow up to "send to submenu," press enter again. Then press the down arrow key until you hear "Desktop" and press enter yet again. -----Original Message----- From: JAWS-Users-List <jaws-users-list-boun...@jaws-users.com> On Behalf Of Mike B. When you want to create a desktop shortcut from a website you visit regularly, how in the heck do you do it?! In IE11 you can get create desktop shortcut options in the context menu, or from the file menu, but with Firefox I can't find anywhere in the context or file menu that will allow me to create a desktop shortcut while on the website. So again, how is this done? All help will be a great hair saver, and immensely appreciated! LOL Thanks much. Take care. Mike. Go Dodgers! Sent from my iBarstool.
