Still not sure why the Firefox scripts do not load. FS support says JAWS won't officially support Firefox 3 until version 10. I did find a work around to force the Firefox 2.0 scripts to be loaded at: http://www.marcozehe.de/2008/06/19/how-to-make-jaws-80-load-the-firefox-configuration-for-firefox-30/
I must stress that may not fix much or any of the little quirks using Firefox 3.0! In fact, it may make matters much worse! I have not spent much time using them yet. I guess I should peruse the Firefox 2 scripts, to see what they are supposed to fix. Keep in mind that these instructions are for JAWS 8.0 and XP. Find the file, ConfigNames.ini, by going to the "Explore Shared Settings" of the JAWS Program group in the start menu. Make sure to save a copy of this file before changing it.
