Well, it is much more so in Firefox 3.0. it allows you to pause and resume downloads, it will even be able to resume downloads that broke because of network connection problems. In addition, it shows you where you downloaded the file from, allows you to open the file or the containing folder. So while it may not be the download manager with all the bells and whistles of the real high-end ones, it certainly learned a lot in Firefox 3.
