Hi folks. Using Vista Home and latest JAWS 9 here. I have a brand spanking
new Dell laptop. The set up had gone flawlessly today until I downloaded
and installed JAWS.

I configured JAWS in the basic menu to automatically start. Once at the log
on screen, JAWS does indeed talk, I type in my password, and hit enter.
Then it logs on. However, JAWS then shuts down. I mean it doesn't just go
silent, it actually unloads all by itself, and I then have to restart it.
Also, I had sighted help, and once I restarted JAWS he looked and couldn't
find JAWS anywhere in the task manager, under services, processes running,
etc, which is odd.

FYI, I'm using anti-virus, anti-spy ware, and firewall all from McAfee.
This computer is so new, I've added nothing unusual on it yet. It's mainly
loaded with the basics. Help? I know so little about Vista, so I'm sure
I'm going to have plenty of questions in the near future. Smile. I'm also
brand new to laptops. Thanks for any guidance.
