Karen, are you using windows xp or vista operating system? Is it a laptop or pc? If you have jaws 9 on your computer, stick with it until the version 10 comes out in final form. If you don't immediately need a printer or scanner, maybe you could hold off on getting into those so you don't bombard yourself with a lot more information than you need right now.If you have ocr reading software such as Kurzweil 1000 or Open Book, scanner choice can be requested from the vender. I recently bought an hp deskjet 6940printer that works great with my xp system. It was about $109.00 from amazon.com and was available, also, at Best Buy. Maybe it would work for you to tell us what you know how to do up to the point that you don't know how to proceed. Then we can chime in. marilyn
