Well if it's in your startup category then Windows will try to open it, but now you've manually deleted it it will display an error, something like "file not found" every time you start your PC. Do a search for "trojan remover", with quotes, and you can download a fully accessible programme, oddly enough called Trojan Remover, and it should remove the trojan completely, including its hidden paths. This is a fully functional free 30 day trial. Hope this helps

hello all. last night I tried something to remove the mal wear program that I seem to have on my pc. I went to my computer under the main drive and deleted the program from the program's folder. it was a folder and I removed it and then I removed the icon from the desk top and after I emptied the recycle bin it seemed to be gone from my system tray. since it was in there as well. since doing this I have not re started the pc since it came up at start up. I am just wondering weather I did the right thing? or if I possibly might have made things worse? I am thinking of doing a system restore just to be safe.
